On the transformation of the Almaty Higher Military School named after I. S. Konev into the Military Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 11, 1997 No. 3353.

In order to improve the system of training qualified officers and create conditions for the development of military science, I decree:

     1. To transform the Almaty Higher Military School named after I.S. Konev into the Military Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     2. To determine the main objectives of the Military Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

     1) training of officers with higher military and higher military-special education;

     2) retraining and improvement of officers;

     3) training of military scientific and pedagogical personnel.

     The footnote. Paragraph 2 was amended by Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 27, 2002 No. 815.

     3. To the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan within two months:

     1) to develop and approve the Charter and Regulations on the Military Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

     2) to take the necessary measures for financial and logistical support of the Military Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the funds provided in the republican budget for 1997 by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

     3) to bring Government resolutions in line with this Decree.

     4. This Decree comes into force from the date of signing.
