1. The Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan are used for:

1) the suppression of flights of aircraft used to commit an act of terrorism or hijacked by terrorists;

2) suppression of acts of terrorism in the internal and territorial waters, in the fishing zone, at the facilities of marine economic activity located on the continental shelf of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as to ensure the safety of navigation;

3) participation in conducting an anti-terrorist operation in accordance with the procedure provided for by this Law, other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. The Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, when participating in the anti-terrorist operation, use special means, weapons and military equipment in accordance with this Law and other legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the same time, military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan are subject to the provisions of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On National Security Agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan" regarding the conditions, procedure and limits of the use of physical force, special means, weapons and the use of military equipment in the area of the anti-terrorist operation.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 13, 1999 No. 416.

This Law establishes the principles, purpose, legal and organizational basis for countering terrorism.
