1. During registration, accumulation, processing, storage and provision of legal statistical information, the authorized body takes measures provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan to protect information constituting state secrets, personal data and other legally protected secrets.

2. Legal statistical information about specific phenomena, processes, and persons who make up the investigation and inquiry data is not subject to disclosure. It may be made public with the permission of the investigator, the inquirer, the prosecutor and the court to the extent that they deem it possible, if it does not contradict the interests of the investigation and is not related to the violation of the rights, freedoms, legally protected interests of others.

3. In order to respect the rights and legitimate interests of individuals and citizens, legal entities and the State, all primary legal statistical information provided to the authorized body is secured.

4. The authorized body is obliged to provide every citizen with the opportunity to familiarize himself with the information concerning his rights, freedoms and interests contained in special records.

5. The fact of illegal entry of information about him into special records may be appealed in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 22, 2003 No. 510.

This Law defines the legal basis and principles for the implementation of state legal statistics and special accounting, the powers and functions of the authorized body, subjects of legal statistics and special accounting.
