Article 4. State policy in the field of veterinary medicine Chapter 2. State regulation in the field of veterinary medicine of the Law on Veterinary Medicine

     The state policy in the field of veterinary medicine is aimed at:  

     1) implementation of state veterinary and sanitary control and supervision during the production, storage and sale of transported (transported) objects;  

     2) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 07/10/2012 No. 34-V (effective from the date of its first official publication);

     3) protection of the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan from the introduction and spread of infectious and exotic animal diseases from other states;  

     4) ensuring the independence of the state veterinary and sanitary control and supervision;  

     5) development of veterinary (veterinary and sanitary) rules, norms and veterinary regulations on a scientific basis, taking into account an objective assessment of the epizootic situation and international standards in the field of veterinary medicine, legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of biological safety;  

     6) achieving a higher level of veterinary measures than provided for by international recommendations, if there is a scientific basis for them.;  

     7) prevention of unjustified restrictions in the sale of movable (transported) objects in the implementation of veterinary measures to ensure veterinary and sanitary well-being;

     7-1) ensuring the interaction of state bodies during veterinary events;

     8) Cost recovery:

     seized and destroyed sick animals, products and raw materials of animal origin that pose a danger to animal and human health;

     neutralized (disinfected) and processed animals, products and raw materials of animal origin that pose a danger to animal and human health.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 10, 2002 No. 339.

This Law defines the legal, organizational and economic basis for carrying out activities in the field of veterinary medicine and is aimed at ensuring veterinary and sanitary safety.
