Article 29. State monopoly in the field of production of identity documents of the Law on Identity Documents
Activities related to the production of identity documents specified in the sub-paragraphs 1), 2), 3), 4) and 12) of the first part of paragraph 1 of Article 6 of this Law, the accumulation and maintenance of an integrated database of the document production system, automation of work on accounting for migration processes, development, implementation and maintenance of software and hardware products for internal affairs bodies, as well as the development, implementation and maintenance of software and hardware products used in the registration of passports of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan by foreign institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, It belongs to the state monopoly and is carried out by the republican state enterprise on the right of economic management, established by the decision of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 29, 2013 No. 73-V.
This Law defines the legal basis of identity documents, establishes requirements for their registration, and regulates activities related to the production, issuance, replacement, delivery, seizure and destruction of identity documents.
