Article 3. Ownership of land of the Land Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan

     The land in the Republic of Kazakhstan belongs to the people of Kazakhstan. On behalf of the people of Kazakhstan, the right of ownership is exercised by the State. At the same time, the exercise of the right of ownership by the state is implemented through the state ownership regime in the interests of the people of Kazakhstan. Land plots may also be privately owned on the grounds, conditions and within the limits established by this Code.
