Article 2-1. The main goals and objectives of this Law are the Law on Consumer Cooperatives
1. The main objectives of this Law are to ensure the organization and development of the cooperative movement in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of consumers through the creation of conditions for the formation and functioning of consumer cooperatives.
2. The main objectives of this Law are:
1) creation of a legal basis for the development of the cooperative movement in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
2) ensuring the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of participants in consumer cooperatives;
3) ensuring the availability of goods and services;
4) development of competition in the market;
5) regulation of the activities of consumer cooperatives.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 8, 2001, No. 197.
This Law defines the legal status of consumer cooperatives, the organizational, economic and social conditions of their creation, operation, reorganization and liquidation, the rights and obligations of members, the powers and responsibilities of management and control bodies.
