On the reorganization, abolition and formation of certain state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 13, 2000 No. 507
In accordance with paragraph 3) Article 44 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, paragraph 2 of Article 22 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan"
I decree:
1. Reorganize:
1) The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Ministry of Economy and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
2) The Ministry of Energy, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, transferring powers in the field of industry and trade to the Ministry of Economy and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
3) The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan, having transferred functions and powers in the field of geology and subsoil protection to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. Abolish:
1) The Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Investments, having transferred functions and powers to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and in the field of subsoil use - to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
2) The Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Public Procurement, having transferred functions and powers to the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
3) The Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Combating Drug Addiction and Drug Trafficking, having transferred functions and powers to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
3. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
1) provide education:
Agencies for State material reserves;
The Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the transfer to it of the functions and powers of the abolished Investment Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
Committee on Public Procurement The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the transfer to it of the functions and powers of the abolished Agency for Public Procurement;
The Committee on Combating Drug Addiction and Drug Trafficking of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the transfer to it of the functions and powers of the abolished Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Combating Drug Addiction and Drug Trafficking;
2) to abolish the Committee on State Material Reserves of the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the transfer of its functions and powers to the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for State Material Reserves; 3) (deleted - No. 811 dated 02/20/2002)
4) take other necessary measures to implement this Decree within one month.
The footnote. Paragraph 3 was amended by Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 20, 2002 No. 811.
4. Add to Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 22, 1999 No. 6 "On the Structure of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan" the following amendments and additions:
in paragraph 1:
delete the following paragraphs:
"Ministry of Energy, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan";
"Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan";
"Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Investments";
"Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Public Procurement";
"Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Combating Drug Addiction and Drug Trafficking".
Add new paragraphs as follows:
"Ministry of Economy and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan";
"Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan";
"Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for State Material Reserves".
5. To make the following amendment to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 4, 1997 No. 3378 "On the establishment of the National Oil and Gas Company Kazakhoil" (SAPP RK, 1997, No. 10, art. 70):
In subparagraph 2) of paragraph 1, the words "on the division of products, royalties and other agreements" should be deleted.
6. Control over the implementation of this Decree is entrusted to the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
7. This Decree comes into force from the date of signing.
