Article 8. Competence of local representative bodies of oblasts, cities of republican significance, the capital in the field of responsible treatment of animals of the Law On Responsible Treatment of Animals

Local representative bodies of regions, cities of republican significance, and the capital in the field of responsible animal management:

1) approve the rules for keeping and walking pets;

2) approve the rules for trapping, temporary detention and killing of animals;

3) exercise other powers to ensure the rights and legitimate interests of citizens in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of responsible treatment of animals in order to protect them, ensure safety, strengthen morality and respect the principles of humanity of society in the treatment of animals, as well as protect the rights and legitimate interests of individuals and legal entities in the treatment of animals.
