Article 7. Editorial office of the Mass Media of the Law On Mass Media
1. The editorial board carries out the preparation and release (airing) of mass media on behalf of the owner.
2. The editorial office is headed by the editor-in-chief (editor).
2-1. The Chief Editor(s) may not be:
1) citizens declared legally incompetent by the court;
2) citizens who, at the time of appointment, have a criminal record that has not been removed or expunged in accordance with the procedure established by law.;
3) foreigners or stateless persons;
4) citizens who were the chief editors (editors) of the mass media, through whose fault the release (airing) of the mass media was terminated by a court decision, within three years from the date of entry into force of the court decision.
3. The relations between the owner and the editorial board are regulated by the charter and the contract.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 23, 1999 No. 451-I.
This Law regulates public relations in the field of mass media, establishes state guarantees of their freedom in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
