About the immigration quota for 1997
Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 27, 1997 N 34
In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 26, 1992 "On Immigration" (Bulletin of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 1992, No. 13-14, art. 314) and in order to organize the resettlement and settlement of repatriated refugees who have expressed a desire to return to their historical homeland,
I DECREE:
1. To establish the immigration quota submitted by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 1997 in the amount of 2,180 families according to the appendix.
2. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, akims of the regions and the city of Almaty should take practical measures to implement this Decree.
For these purposes:
to ensure financing of expenses for the organization of resettlement, reception and accommodation of repatriated refugees at the expense of local budgets; to determine areas of compact settlement of families of repatriated refugees, taking into account their kinship and economic and industrial ties, employment in specialties;
to provide reception, accommodation and creation of necessary social and living conditions for them;
In accordance with the established procedure, resolve the issue of allocating land plots for housing construction and economic activities of refugee returnees; provide, if necessary, the allocation of funds for the maintenance of regional adaptation centers.
