About the immigration quota for 1998
Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 3, 1998 N 3894
In accordance with subparagraph 21 of Article 44 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan Z970204_ "On Population Migration", in order to organize the resettlement and settlement of families of repatriates (oralmans) who have expressed a desire to return to their historical homeland,
I DECREE:
1. To establish the immigration quota submitted by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 1998 in the amount of 3,000 families according to the appendix.
2. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the akims of the regions, the cities of Akmola and Almaty should take practical measures to implement this Decree.
For these purposes:
to ensure financing of expenses for the organized resettlement of families of repatriates (oralmans) from foreign countries at the expense of the republican budget;
to finance the costs of reception and accommodation (one-time allowances, reimbursement of transportation costs, purchase of housing, maintenance of adaptation points and organizational expenses) for families of repatriates (oralmans) from the local budget;
to determine the areas of compact settlement of families of repatriates (Oralmans), taking into account their kinship and economic and industrial ties; to ensure the reception of families of repatriates (Oralmans), their arrangement and the creation of necessary social and living conditions for them;
In accordance with the established procedure, resolve the issue of allocating land plots to repatriates (oralmans) for housing construction and economic activities.;
provide assistance to repatriates (oralmans) in finding employment, obtaining education and profession, and educating their children;
to assist repatriates (oralmans) in organizing entrepreneurial activities, reviving national crafts, and organizing farms and peasant farms.
