Article 67. Protection of the state forest fund from pests and diseases of the forest of the Forest Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. Protection of the state forest fund from pests and diseases of the forest is ensured by systematic monitoring of the state forest fund, timely identification of foci of pests and diseases of the forest by measures to prevent the occurrence of foci, their localization and elimination.
2. Protection of the state forest fund from forest pests and diseases includes the following measures::
1) current, expeditionary, aerovisual and other forest pathology surveys;
2) general, reconnaissance and detailed observations of the development of forest pests and diseases;
3) implementation of ground and aviation operations to combat forest pests and diseases;
4) prevention and elimination of foci of pests and diseases of the forest.

3. Measures to protect the state forest fund from pests and diseases of the forest are regulated by sanitary rules in forests approved by the authorized body.
