Article 557. Procedural and other actions carried out in the order of providing legal assistance CPC RK Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan

     1. In order to provide legal assistance to the competent authorities of foreign states with which the Republic of Kazakhstan has concluded an international agreement, documents may be served, certain procedural actions may be performed, criminal prosecution may be carried out, extradition of persons (extradition), temporary extradition of persons (extradition), transit transportation, temporary transfer of persons, transfer of convicts and persons suffering from mental disorders. disorders to which compulsory medical measures, recognition and execution of sentences have been applied.

     2. An international treaty of the Republic of Kazakhstan may provide for other forms of cooperation in a criminal case not provided for by this Code.

     3. If the provisions of an international treaty ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan contradict this Code, the provisions of the international treaty shall apply.
