1. The tasks of the state courier service are:

1) delivery of correspondence originating from (sent to) The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Chairmen of the Chambers of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Chairman of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the State Adviser of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the heads of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Office of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with delivery at the location of these officials, including for outside the Republic of Kazakhstan;

2) delivery of correspondence from government agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other organizations designated by the list of users of state courier services;

3) delivery of correspondence originating from (sent to) the heads of State, heads of government, authorities and administrations of the member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States, in accordance with the Agreement on Intergovernmental Courier Communication;

4) carrying out armed protection and ensuring the safety of secret shipments within the competence established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

5) implementation of international cooperation on issues related to the jurisdiction of the state courier service.

2. Other tasks of the state courier service may be established by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law regulates public relations related to the implementation by the State courier service of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the State courier service) of activities in the provision of state courier services, defines the legal and organizational foundations of such activities, as well as social guarantees for employees of the state courier service and their family members.
