About changes in the administrative-territorial structure of the South Kazakhstan region

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 5, 2018 No. 698

 In accordance with Article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 8, 1993 "On the Administrative-territorial structure of the Republic of Kazakhstan", I DECREE:

     1. To form the following administrative-territorial units within the South Kazakhstan region:

     1) Zhetysai district with the administrative center in the city of Zhetysai, Maktaaralsky district with the administrative center in the village of Myrzakent by dividing Maktaaralsky district of South Kazakhstan region;

     2) Saryagash district with the administrative center in the city of Saryagash, Kelessky district with the administrative center in the village of Abai by dividing Saryagash district of South Kazakhstan region.

     2. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall take the necessary measures to implement paragraph 1 of this Decree.

     3. This Decree shall enter into force from the date of its first official publication.
