On the signing of the Second Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, aiming at the abolition of the death penalty

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 14, 2020 No. 371

  In accordance with subparagraph 1) of Article 8 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 30, 2005 "on international treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan", I HEREBY DECREE:

     1. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Tleuberdi Mukhtar Beskenuly, to sign on behalf of the Republic of Kazakhstan the Second Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, aimed at the abolition of the death penalty.

     2. This Decree shall enter into force from the date of its signing.
