On the ratification of the Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan on the junction point of the state borders of the three States

     To ratify the Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan on the junction point of the state borders of the three States, signed in Shanghai on June 15, 2001.

Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan on the junction point of the state borders of the three States

 

     The Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan, hereinafter referred to as the Parties, guided by the principles of mutual respect, sovereign equality and territorial integrity, in order to determine the location of the junction point of the state borders of the three States, have agreed as follows:

 

Article 1

 

     The junction point of the state borders of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan, hereinafter referred to as the junction point of the state borders of the three states, is located on the watershed of the Talassky Alatau ridge in the area of its junction with the Maidantal ridge at an altitude with the Chatangat triangulation point, which has a mark of 4131.1.       This junction point of the state borders of the three states is located approximately 3.99 kilometers northeast of the height of 3789.7 located on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, approximately 2.61 kilometers south of the height of 4054.0 located on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic and approximately 4.63 kilometers north-northwest of the height of the Republic of Uzbekistan heights with a mark of 2850.5.       The junction point of the state borders of the three states has the following coordinates: Geodetic - B = 42o15.48".6 north latitude, L = 70o56.42".0 east longitude;       Rectangular - X = 4,682,820.0, Y = 12,660,484.5. The location of the junction point of the state borders of the three states is shown by a red circle on a jointly created 1:50,000 scale map attached to this Agreement and forming an integral part of it.       The distances and elevation marks indicated in this article, as well as geodetic and rectangular coordinates of the junction point of the state borders of the three states, are determined by the attached map.       The coordinates and elevation markers are in the 1942 coordinate system and the Baltic Elevation system.

 

Article 2

 

     From the junction point of the state borders of the three States, the state border lines will run as they are defined by the relevant agreements on the state border between the neighboring States.

 

Article 3

 

     This Agreement shall enter into force on the date of the last written notification that the Parties have completed the internal procedures necessary for its entry into force.

 

     Done in Shanghai on June 15, 2001, in three copies, each in the Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Uzbek and Russian languages.       The topographic map was made in three alternatives for each state in Russian.       In case of disagreement in the interpretation of the provisions of this Agreement, the Parties will refer to the text in Russian.
