On the execution of the powers of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 19, 2019 No. 887.

  I DECREE:

     1. In accordance with paragraph 3 of Article 42 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, I terminate the powers of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan from March 20, 2019.

     2. In accordance with paragraph 1 of Article 48 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the powers of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the remaining term are transferred to the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan from the moment of taking the oath to the people of Kazakhstan.

     3. In accordance with paragraph 2 of Article 42 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in coordination with the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to hold an oath-taking ceremony to the people of Kazakhstan by the incoming President of the Republic of Kazakhstan at a joint meeting of the Chambers of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan at 12:00 p.m. on March 20, 2019.

     4. This Decree comes into effect from the moment of signing.
