On the discharge to the reserve of conscripts who have served a fixed term of military service, and on the regular conscription of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan for military service in April-June 1997

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 27, 1997 N 3430

In accordance with article 13 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 19, 1993 "On Universal military duty and military service"

I DECREE:      

1. In April-June 1997, conscripts who have served the prescribed period of military service should be discharged from the ranks of the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.      

2. In April-June 1997, to call for military service in the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, male citizens who turn 18 on the day of conscription, who are not eligible for a deferral from military service, as well as older citizens who have lost the right to a deferral from conscription.      

3. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, akims of regions and the city of Almaty should ensure the work of regional, city and district draft commissions, take measures to organize the conscription and dispatch of conscripted citizens to the troops for military service.      

4. The Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Investigative Committee, together with the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, shall take measures to search for and bring to justice persons who evade conscription in accordance with the law.

5. This Decree comes into force from the date of publication.
