On the declaration of the city of Akmola as the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 20, 1997 N 3700

 In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 15, 1995 "On the Capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan", which has the force of Law, Resolution of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 6, 1994 No. 106 "On the relocation of the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan"

I decree:      

1. To declare the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan the city of Akmola on December 10, 1997.      

2. The official presentation of the city of Akmola as the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be held on June 10, 1998.      

3. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the State Commission for the Relocation of Higher and Central government bodies to the city of Akmola to ensure the implementation of this Decree.      

4. This Decree comes into force from the moment of publication.
