On the assignment of the cities of Zhanatas and Karatau to the category of cities of regional significance, the transfer of the administrative centers of Sarysu and Talas districts of Zhambyl region

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 12, 1997 N 3497

In accordance with Article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 8, 1993 Z934200_ "On the Administrative-territorial structure of the Republic of Kazakhstan"

I decree:

1. Classify the cities of Zhanatas and Karatau in the Zhambyl region as cities of regional significance.

2. Move administrative centers:

1) Sarysu district - from Saudakent village to Zhanatas city;

2) Talas district - from the village of Akkol to the city of Karatau.
