On lump-sum payments to parents, adoptive parents, and guardians of deceased military personnel

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 13, 1999 No. 284

In the Year of Unity and Continuity of Generations , for the purpose of social support of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan

I decree:      

1. Make lump-sum payments to parents, adoptive parents, and guardians of deceased military personnel who did not receive insurance amounts established by the legislation on social protection of military personnel in the period from September 3, 1945 to January 20, 1993.      The above payments should be made to parents, adoptive parents, and guardians of military personnel: those who died during conscription or after discharge as a result of injury, contusion, injury, or illness sustained during military service (except when death occurred as a result of their unlawful actions), in the amount of 8,7750 tenge; those who died in the period of hostilities (except when death occurred as a result of their illegal actions), in the amount of 117,000 tenge.

2. Establish that:      

1) in case of death, death of two or more servicemen from the same family, lump-sum payments are made for each serviceman;      

2) lump-sum payments not paid due to the death of parents, adoptive parents, guardians of the deceased, deceased military personnel, are not inherited.      

3. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan:      

1) approve Rules for making lump-sum payments to parents, adoptive parents, and guardians of deceased military personnel;      

2) to make lump-sum payments provided for by this Decree at the expense of the republican budget.      

4. This Decree comes into force from the date of signing.
