On declaring 2001 the Year of the 10th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan

In order to further strengthen independence and statehood, spiritual and cultural consolidation of the people of Kazakhstan, and the growth of Kazakhstan's

I decree on patriotism, ensuring continuity and progressive development:

    1. To declare 2001 the Year of the 10th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. To hold it under the motto: "10 years of peace and friendship."

    2. To form the State Commission for the Year of the 10th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the following composition:

    3. The State Commission, in coordination with the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, shall approve the following measures within two weeks.,

dedicated to the 10th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

    4. This Decree comes into force from the date of signing.
