Article 9. Organizations providing medical, special educational and special social services to children with disabilities Chapter 3. Activities to provide social and medical-pedagogical correctional support to children with disabilities of the Law on Social and Medical-pedagogical Correctional Support for Children with Disabilities
1. Medical services are provided by healthcare entities with preventive, diagnostic, curative, rehabilitative and palliative orientation.
2. Medical services include:
1) mass standardized examination of young children in order to identify children at risk (screening);
2) in-depth diagnosis of congenital, hereditary and acquired pathology;
3) medical correction and rehabilitation of children with disabilities in psychophysical development;
4) other services provided in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
3. Special educational services for children with disabilities are provided by special organizations: psychological, medical and pedagogical consultations, psychological and pedagogical correction rooms, rehabilitation centers, speech therapy centers, kindergartens and other educational organizations in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on education.
4. Special educational services include:
1) in-depth and comprehensive examination of children in order to assess special educational needs;
2) special psychological and pedagogical support for children with disabilities;
3) education and upbringing according to special educational programs;
4) other services provided in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
5. Organizations providing special social services are organizations of education, healthcare and social protection of the population.
6. Special social services include:
1) provision of social assistance in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on social protection;
2) provision of prosthetics and prosthetic and orthopedic products;
3) provision of special technical and compensatory means;
4) providing advisory assistance to families raising children with disabilities;
5) provision of social worker services.
The legal status of social workers is determined by the legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law defines the forms and methods of social, medical and pedagogical correctional support for children with disabilities, is aimed at creating an effective system of assistance to children with developmental disabilities, solving problems related to their upbringing, education, labor and vocational training, and preventing childhood disability.
