Article 8. National Security Committee of the Law On National Security Agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. National Security Committee:
1) it is formed, abolished and reorganized by the President of the Republic and is not included in the system of central executive bodies of the Republic;
2) manages the departments of the National Security Committee, territorial and other national security bodies, as well as subordinate organizations;
2-1) organizes the planning of providing national security agencies with property, its operation, safety, accounting and write-off;
3) directly implements the main activities of the national security agencies;
3-1) develops and approves regulatory legal acts on the organization of the activities of national security agencies and the implementation of the tasks assigned to them;
4) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 13, 2014 No. 159-V (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication);
5) is a legal entity, has valid and conditional names, its own symbols and insignia.
2. The status and powers of the National Security Committee are determined by the Regulations on the National Security Committee.
2-1. The symbols, insignia and departmental awards of the national security bodies are approved by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the proposal of the Chairman of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This Law defines the status, powers and organization of activities of the national security bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
