Article 8. License for the right to engage in notarial activity of the Law on Notaries
1. The license for the right to engage in notarial activity (notary's license), issued by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan based on the results of attestation, authorizes a private notary to perform notarial acts.
2. The list of documents required to obtain a notary's license, the terms and procedure for issuing a license are established by relevant regulatory legal acts.
3. A notary's license is issued without a time limit and is valid throughout the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
4. A fee is charged for the issuance of a notary's license, the amount and payment procedure of which are determined by tax legislation.
5. The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan maintains the State Register of licenses for the right to engage in notarial activities and publishes in the departmental press information about persons who have been granted licenses to carry out notarial activities, indicating:
1) the surname, first name, patronymic of the notary;
2) license issue dates and license numbers.
6. Persons who have passed qualification exams at the Qualification Board of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan or at the Qualification Commission under the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, permanent judges and persons who have worked as permanent judges, with the exception of judges dismissed from office for defamatory misconduct and violations of the law in the performance of their duties, as well as state notaries, are entitled to obtain a license for performing notarial activities without passing certification.
