Article 8. Admission to law enforcement service of the Law on Law Enforcement Service
1. Recruitment to law enforcement agencies is carried out by appointment to a position, including by concluding a contract for persons enrolled in full-time education at a law enforcement education organization.
Recruitment of persons who have completed initial professional training in law enforcement education organizations is carried out by enrolling in law enforcement personnel. Appointment to a position is made within one month from the date of enrollment in the staff of a law enforcement agency.
2. Recruitment to law enforcement agencies is formalized by orders of the heads of the law enforcement agency or authorized managers. The order is announced to the rank-and-file and commanding officers under signature.
3. Ordinary and commanding officers assume the restrictions established by this Law and other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan related to the employee's stay in law enforcement service, and anti-corruption restrictions established by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Combating Corruption".
4. Those liable for military service who have been appointed to the positions of ordinary and commanding personnel or enrolled in law enforcement personnel, including cadets of law enforcement education organizations, are removed from military registration in accordance with the established procedure and placed on the special register of law enforcement agencies.

This Law regulates public relations related to admission to the law enforcement service of the Republic of Kazakhstan, its passage and termination, and also defines the legal status (status), financial support and social protection of law enforcement officers of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
