Article 8. Accounting and registration of administrative-territorial units, their exclusion from the accounting data of the Law on the Administrative-Territorial Structure of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Settlements with a permanent population of more than fifty people and which are considered independent settlements are subject to accounting and registration.
Individual houses, farms, and settlements that are objects of official use (houses of foresters, track workers, road builders, zaimki, winter quarters, field camps, weather stations, and others) are counted as part of the settlements with which they are administratively or geographically connected.
Settlements that are incorporated into cities, towns, or villages and have become part of them, as well as settlements from which all residents have moved or relocated, lose their status as independent administrative-territorial units and are excluded from the accounting data.
