1. A notary may have assistants and interns.

2. Only a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan may be a notary's assistant.

3. A notary's assistant may work on the basis of an employment contract with a notary engaged in private practice, or be a member of a state notary office.

4. Notary interns may be citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan with higher legal education.

Interns are trained by notaries who have at least five years of notarial experience.

A person applying for the right to engage in notarial activity enters into an internship agreement with the notary Chamber.

5. An assistant and a trainee may, on the instructions and under the responsibility of a notary, carry out his instructions, which should not replace notarial activities and may be of an auxiliary nature in conducting notarial work.

The assistant and the intern are not allowed to sign notarial documents for the notary and use the notary's seal.

6. Excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 05.07.2018 No. 177-VI (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication).

7. The purpose of the internship is for the trainee to acquire professional knowledge and practical skills in performing notarial acts, organizing the work of a notary for subsequent obtaining a license for the right to engage in notarial activities.

8. No more than two interns can be trained by one notary at the same time.

9. The internship is carried out in accordance with the regulations on the procedure for internships for notary interns.

The internship training program is mandatory for all interns and should contain a list of activities aimed at the intern's acquisition of special theoretical knowledge, practical skills in performing notarial acts and organizing the work of a notary, including studying the professional and ethical standards of a notary, attending seminars organized for notaries or specifically for interns.

10. Upon completion of the internship, the notary prepares an opinion reflecting the implementation of the intern's professional training program, which is approved by the Notary Chamber within ten working days. If an intern does not fully master the internship training program, he is provided with additional time.

The internship certificate is valid for three years after its approval.

11. Full completion of the internship training program is a prerequisite for completing the internship.

12. The requirements of this article do not apply to persons with work experience as a notary public, with the exception of those dismissed from their positions for negative reasons.
