Article 7. Criteria for the recognition of foreign rating agencies of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan On Credit Rating Activities

     For the purposes of recognition of foreign rating agencies, the following criteria are established::

     1) a foreign rating agency is subject to regulation in the country of origin, and the ratings of the foreign rating agency are recognized under prudential regulation;

     2) the minimum amount of equity capital of a foreign rating agency is established by a regulatory legal act of the authorized body;

     3) a foreign rating agency meets the criteria of objectivity and independence, information disclosure, and reliability of ratings established by the regulatory legal act of the authorized body.
