1. The legal protection provided by this Law applies only to the original topology.

2. The topology created as a result of the creative activity of the author is original. A topology is recognized as original until proven otherwise.

3. Topologies, the totality of which is generally known to the developers and manufacturers of integrated circuits at the date of its creation, are not legally protected by this Law.

A topology consisting of elements that are generally known to developers and manufacturers of integrated circuits at the date of its creation is granted legal protection only if the totality of such elements generally meets the requirements of paragraph 2 of this article.

4. The legal protection provided by this Law does not apply to ideas, methods, systems, technology, or encoded information that can be embodied in a topology.
