Article 5-2. Benefits of payment for the use of toll roads (sections) of the Law on Highways

      The footnote. Title of Article 5-2 as amended by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 31.10.2015 No. 380-V (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication).

     1. The following persons are exempt from paying for the use of toll roads (sections):

     1) special motor vehicles in the performance of official duties:  

     emergency medical services organizations;  

     emergency services;

     law enforcement agencies;

     transport control authorities;

     special government agencies;

     The Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, other troops and military formations;

     A national operator directly responsible for the maintenance and maintenance of toll roads (sections) of public use of international and national significance;

     the concessionaire directly responsible for the maintenance and maintenance of the relevant toll road (section), determined in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

     authorized body in the field of protection, reproduction and use of wildlife;

     2) buses carrying out regular transportation of passengers and luggage in suburban services and services connecting settlements adjacent to the toll road (section): towns and villages with district or regional centers, the capital, or cities of national significance;

      buses of the districts adjacent to the toll road, registered in accordance with the established procedure on the territory of the specified administrative-territorial unit, for movement within the same district;  

      cargo motor vehicles, wheeled self-propelled agricultural and land reclamation vehicles within the sections between the nearest transport interchanges for crossing water barriers and railways;  

     passenger cars of individuals and legal entities of the districts adjacent to the toll road, registered in accordance with the established procedure on the territory of the specified administrative-territorial unit, for movement within the same district;

     3) passenger cars of veterans of the Great Patriotic War.  

     2. The vehicles provided for in subparagraph 2) are not exempt from payment for the use of toll roads (sections) created (reconstructed) and operated on the basis of a public-private partnership agreement, including a concession agreement. paragraph 1 of this article.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 17, 2001 No. 245.

      This Law regulates the legal, organizational and economic foundations of the state management of highways in the Republic of Kazakhstan, their construction, operation and development in the interests of the state and users of highways.
