1. The provisions of this Law apply to objects of industrial property, protection documents for which have been issued by an expert organization, as well as to objects of industrial property, patents for which have been granted on the basis of international treaties in which the Republic of Kazakhstan participates.

2. If an international treaty ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan establishes rules other than those contained in this Law, the rules of the international treaty shall apply.
