1. Co-financing of venture funds is carried out on a competitive basis by subjects of the innovation system participating in state support of innovation activities, in accordance with the procedure determined by the authorized body in the field of state support of innovation activities, including the targets for co-financing venture funds.

2. Venture financing refers to activities related to the financing of individuals engaged only in innovative activities by investing in their authorized capital, purchasing financial instruments issued by them, or providing them with cash loans.

3. A private venture investor is an individual who provides venture financing to startup companies and provides them with expert support at will. - Excluded by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 27, 2025 No. 220-VIII
