Article 2. Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on trademarks, service marks, geographical indications and names of places of origin of goods On trademarks, service marks, geographical indications and names of places of origin of goods

1. The legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on trademarks, service marks, geographical indications and names of places of origin of goods consists of the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, this Law and other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. If an international treaty ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan establishes rules other than those contained in this Law, the rules of the international treaty shall apply.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 26, 1999 No. 456.

This Law regulates relations arising in connection with the registration, legal protection and use of trademarks, service marks, geographical indications and names of places of origin of goods in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
