Article 2-1. Application of resolutions and recommendations of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Merchant Shipping Act
The application of resolutions and recommendations of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan is carried out by adopting relevant regulatory legal acts provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on merchant shipping, making necessary amendments and additions to them, or specifying references to the application of specific resolutions and recommendations of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 17, 2002 No. 284.
This Law defines the legal, organizational, economic and international foundations of public administration in the field of merchant shipping and regulates relations related to the transportation of passengers, baggage and cargo, ensuring safety in maritime transport and environmental protection.
