Article 197. Transportation, purchase, sale, storage of oil and petroleum products, as well as oil refining without documents confirming the legality of their origin of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 16, 2025 No. 210-VIII SAM.
1 Transportation, purchase, sale, storage of oil and petroleum products, as well as oil refining without documents confirming the legality of their origin, –
are punishable by a fine in the amount of up to one hundred and sixty monthly calculation indices, or correctional labor in the same amount, or community service for up to one hundred and sixty hours, or arrest for up to forty days..
2 The same acts committed repeatedly, –
are punishable by a fine in the amount of up to two hundred monthly calculation indices, or correctional labor in the same amount, or community service for up to two hundred hours, or arrest for up to fifty days.
3 The acts provided for in the first or second parts of this Article, committed on a large scale, –
are punishable by a fine in the amount of up to three thousand monthly calculation indices, or correctional labor in the same amount, or community service for up to eight hundred hours, or restriction of liberty for up to three years, or imprisonment for the same period, with or without confiscation of property.
4 The acts provided for in the first, second or third parts of this Article, committed:
1) a criminal group;
2) on a particularly large scale, –
are punishable by imprisonment for a term of three to six years with or without confiscation of property.
