The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 25, 1993, the Supreme Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan decides:

On January 1, 1993, to approve the tariff for state social insurance contributions for all enterprises, organizations and institutions, regardless of their forms of ownership and management, in the amount of 37 percent of the wage fund. For public organizations of the disabled and pensioners, their enterprises, institutions, organizations, educational institutions, farmers, bar associations, and individuals engaged in self-employment, establish a 5 percent rate of deductions for state social insurance.  To establish compulsory insurance contributions of citizens to the Pension Fund in the amount of 1 percent of wages.  The total amount of social insurance contributions is distributed between the Pension Fund and the Social Insurance Fund according to the standards approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
