Article 19. Rights and obligations of a public association Chapter 3. Rights and obligations of a public association.  Ownership of a public association of the Law On Public Associations

     Public associations acquire rights and assume responsibilities through their governing bodies, acting within the powers granted by the charter and the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     In order to achieve their statutory goals, public associations, in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, have the right:

     - to disseminate information about their activities;

     - to represent and protect the rights and legitimate interests of their  

     members in courts and other state bodies, other public associations;

     - establish mass media;

     - to organize and hold peaceful meetings;

     - to carry out publishing activities;

     - join international non-profit non-governmental organizations;

     - exercise other powers that do not contradict the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     A public association must:

     - comply with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the norms stipulated by the Charter;

     - provide its members with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with documents and decisions affecting their rights and interests;

     - inform its members about the receipt and expenditure of funds;

     - inform the registration authority about changes in the location of the permanent governing body and data on managers to the extent of information included in the National Register of Business Identification Numbers.

 

 

        The right to freedom of association is one of the most important and constitutional human and civil rights, the realization of which meets the interests of society and is protected by the State.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 31, 1996 No. 3.
