Article 18. Requirements for the quality of information and monitoring of ratings of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan On Credit Rating Activities
1. If a credit rating agency uses external sources of information or information provided by third parties, when carrying out credit rating activities, the credit rating agency indicates the sources of such data, and also takes measures to verify the integrity and reliability of the information source, methods of collecting and processing information that were used.
The responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided by the rated person is borne by the rated person.
2. A credit rating agency does not have the right to assign a rating and has the right to revoke a previously assigned rating if the information received from the rated person is insufficient or unreliable to assign a rating in accordance with the applied methodology.
3. The credit rating agency ensures timely review and continuous monitoring of assigned ratings.
4. When performing rating actions, the credit rating agency takes into account all information available to the credit rating agency that is relevant in the context of credit rating activities.
