Article 17. The governing bodies of the Consumer Cooperative Act on the Consumer Cooperative
1. The governing bodies of a consumer cooperative are:
1) the supreme body is the General Assembly;
2) the executive body is the Management Board (Chairman);
3) the control body is the audit Commission (auditor).
2. The Articles of Association of a consumer cooperative may provide for the establishment of other bodies of the consumer cooperative.
3. In cases of declaring a consumer cooperative bankrupt or applying a rehabilitation procedure and appointing a temporary or bankrupt or rehabilitation manager in accordance with the procedure established by the legislative act of the Republic of Kazakhstan on rehabilitation and bankruptcy, all powers to manage it are transferred to the temporary or bankrupt or rehabilitation manager, respectively.

This Law defines the legal status of consumer cooperatives, the organizational, economic and social conditions of their creation, operation, reorganization and liquidation, the rights and obligations of members, the powers and responsibilities of management and control bodies.
