By decision of the body implementing security measures, for a period determined by it, a ban may be imposed on the issuance of data on the identity of protected persons, their place of residence and other information about them from address bureaus, passport services, divisions of the authorized body for road safety, automatic telephone information services and other information and reference funds. regardless of departmental affiliation, except in cases when such information is clarified in accordance with the established procedure in connection with the proceedings in another criminal case.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 5, 2000 No. 72.

This Law establishes a system of State measures to protect the life, health, property, legitimate rights, and interests of persons participating in criminal proceedings, their family members, and close relatives, and to ensure their safety in order to prevent unlawful interference in criminal proceedings.
