Article 17. Duties of parents and other legal representatives of children with disabilities of the Law on Social, Medical and Pedagogical Correctional Support for Children with Disabilities
1. Parents and other legal representatives of children with disabilities, in addition to the duties established by law, must provide their children with maintenance, upbringing, education, medical examination, treatment, care for them, protect their rights and interests, and participate in the implementation of an individual rehabilitation program.
2. Parents and other legal representatives of children with disabilities are responsible for evading the duties of caring for and raising children, mistreating them, and harming their health, as established by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 11, 2002 No. 343.
This Law defines the forms and methods of social, medical and pedagogical correctional support for children with disabilities, is aimed at creating an effective system of assistance to children with developmental disabilities, solving problems related to their upbringing, education, labor and vocational training, and preventing childhood disability.
