Article 16. Performance of duties The Law on Special State Bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Employees are considered acting officers in the following cases::
1) performance of official duties;
2) participation in combat operations, performing tasks under conditions of emergency or martial law, as well as in conditions of armed conflict;
3) participation in peacekeeping operations to maintain peace and security;
4) participation in the elimination of natural and man-made emergencies and their consequences;
5) participation in exercises;
6) staying on the territory of official facilities, as well as in other places during the official time established by the daily schedule or at other times if it is caused by official necessity.;
7) being on a business trip;
8) being on duty, traveling to the place of service and back;
9) being treated or undergoing a medical examination (examination), going to the place of treatment or medical examination (examination) and back;
10) passing special fees;
11) being in captivity, in the position of a hostage or internee;
12) protection of life and personal health;
13) providing assistance to special state and law enforcement agencies for the protection of human and civil rights and freedoms, law enforcement and public safety;
14) committing other acts recognized by the court as committed in the interests of the individual, society and the state.

This Law defines the status of special state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as special state bodies), regulates public relations related to admission to service in special state bodies, its passage and termination, and also defines the legal status, financial support and social protection of employees of special state bodies.
