Military police agencies:

1) ensure the safety of road traffic of vehicles of national security agencies, the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

2) carry out state registration of motor vehicles and trailers to them of the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the exception of Special Forces of the State Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the issuance of relevant documents and state registration plates;

2-1) issue military driving licenses for the right to drive vehicles belonging to the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, other troops and military formations (hereinafter referred to as military driving licenses), with the exception of Special Forces of the State Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

3) carry out mandatory technical inspection of motor vehicles and trailers registered with the military police, in accordance with the procedure determined by the first heads of central state bodies in the field of national security, defense and internal affairs;

4) in coordination with the authorized body, organize and provide escort for convoys of vehicles of national security agencies, the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations of the Republic of Kazakhstan and regulate traffic on roads and streets during the passage of these convoys.;

5) develop rules for the state registration of motor vehicles and trailers for them of the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, approved by the first head of the internal affairs bodies, authorized bodies in the fields of national security, defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

6) exercise other powers provided for by this Law, other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law establishes the legal basis and general conditions for the functioning of road traffic and ensuring its safety in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
