Article 16-1. Conditions of admission to citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the simplified (registration) procedure of the Law on Citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan may be admitted to the citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in a simplified (registration) procedure.:

1) candace. permanently residing in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan legally, regardless of the period of residence;

2) rehabilitated victims of mass political repression, as well as their descendants, deprived or deprived of citizenship without their free will, permanently residing in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan legally, regardless of the period of residence, as well as persons entitled to acquire citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in a simplified manner on the basis of international treaties ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan;

3) ethnic Kazakhs studying in higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

4) widows of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who permanently reside in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan legally, regardless of the length of residence.

The period for consideration of materials on acquisition of citizenship in a simplified (registration) procedure should not exceed three months from the date of application.
