1. A religious association is a voluntary association of citizens who, in accordance with the procedure established by legislative acts, have united on the basis of their common interests to meet spiritual needs.

2. The participants (members) of a religious association do not retain the rights to the property they have transferred to this organization, including membership fees. They are not liable for the obligations of a religious association, and a religious association is not liable for the obligations of its members.

3. The specifics of the legal status of a religious association are regulated by law.
