1. Recognition of professional qualifications is carried out on a mandatory or voluntary basis for professions included in the register of professions.

2. Recognition of professional qualifications on a voluntary basis is carried out in accordance with this Law.

3. Candidates undergo the professional qualifications recognition procedure at the recognition centers in accordance with the procedure determined by the authorized body.

Recognition of professional qualifications on a voluntary basis is carried out at the expense of the candidate's funds or other funds not prohibited by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, or at the expense of the employer in accordance with the procedure established by the labor legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

4. In order to ensure uniform requirements for the procedure for the recognition of professional qualifications, qualification programs are approved by the recognition centers.

Qualification programs are developed based on the requirements of relevant professional standards, and in their absence, the qualification requirements established in accordance with the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan are used.

5. Recognition of professional qualifications on a mandatory basis is carried out in accordance with other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan if, in relation to persons applying for a certain type of occupation, these laws establish regulatory features that are a prerequisite for professional activity.

Note. Recognition of professional qualifications on a mandatory basis is carried out through licensing, attestation, certification, notification of the commencement of activities of individuals, testing, conducting qualification examinations and other methods established by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

6. Information on the procedure for the recognition of professional qualifications in professions included in the register of professions is posted on the Internet resources of the recognition centers, the digital platform of the National Qualifications System.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of recognition of professional qualifications within the framework of the National Qualifications System.
