1. Authorized body in the field of foreign policy activities:

1) ensures coordination of the activities of the Republic of Kazakhstan with international organizations and states in the field of road traffic and ensuring its safety;

2) interacts with the authorized body in the development of samples of state registration license plates for vehicles of diplomatic missions, consular offices of foreign states, representative offices of international organizations, and other special products necessary for the admission of vehicles and their drivers to participate in international road traffic;

3) provides assistance to the authorized body in ensuring road safety among drivers of vehicles of diplomatic missions, consular offices of foreign states, representative offices of international organizations;

4) organizes the interaction of the authorized body with diplomatic missions, consular offices of foreign states, and representative offices of international organizations in conducting state registration of certain types of motor vehicles and trailers, taking exams and issuing driver's licenses, as well as providing appropriate legal assistance;

5) provides assistance in carrying out mandatory technical inspection of motor vehicles and trailers for them of diplomatic missions, consular offices of foreign states, representative offices of international organizations;

6) exercise other powers provided for by this Law, other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. The functions specified in subitems 2) – 6) of paragraph 1 of this Article are assigned by the authorized body in the field of foreign policy activities to the subordinate organization for work with the diplomatic corps.

This Law establishes the legal basis and general conditions for the functioning of road traffic and ensuring its safety in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
